Happy Valentine's Day to YOU from the real Phantom

Dear Readers,
The Phantom's asking you to speak on behalf of his wild family.
Do you have 2 minutes to speak from your heart?
I told you about the ROAM Act, a proposal to save wild horses. The proposal made most of us happy, but no one's voted on it yet.
These horses belong to you, just as this country does.
Tell those who'll decide whether they'll live or die what you believe.

1. Go here:
MY REPRESENTATIVE

2. Put in your State and Zip code and a link to your Congressman's email will pop up!

3. Ask your Congressman to support H.R. 1018 -- the ROAM ACT

I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!

Here's what's included in the bill.

The Restoring Our American Mustangs (ROAM) Act
(H.R. 1018)
would amend the landmark 1971 Act to implement changes suggested by GAO. The bill would:

· Remove outdated limits on the areas where horses can roam freely, allowing the BLM to find additional, suitable acreage.

· Strengthen the BLM’s wild horse and burro adoption program.

· Require consistency and accuracy in the management of wild horse and burro herds, and allow more public involvement in management decisions.

· Facilitate the creation of sanctuaries for wild horse and burro populations on public lands.

· Prohibit the killing of healthy wild horses and burros.

to increase their romaing and grazing areas...

Thank u; Anne / Conn. / USA
  I did it!
I can't do it but someone should!

Horses can't speak for themsleves but they are the very heart of freedom! Our COUNTRY is free; our HORSES should be free to roam and run without being killed for no reason!!
  HI Violet,
If you're not allowed to write to your Congressman, you might talk with your parents and see if they would do it for you. After all,I bet they're voters and their opinions count!
Terri
I will contact them. Some people might say what's the difference between with a horse, a cow, or a pig? And I say well what's the difference between an Eagle, a chicken, or a turkey? The Horse or Mustang represents this country and the creatures that first inhabitited it.
