More Q & A

Q: i like it when you write books about not giving up, especially on old horses. Most people when they find a horse they like better, just go out and buy a new one but that is not me. Is it you?

A: It's for sure NOT me and I'm delighted to hear that you don't believe in "disposable" horses. I feel the same way about all animals! Once I adopt them, they're here for life! My husband even accused me of running an "old chicken's home" because even after our hens stopped laying eggs, I kept them as well, sort of pets!

Q: Are any of the characters you write based on you?

A: I'm a little like Sam because she often thinks with her heart instead of her head. I'm guilty of that far too often. And when I was a kid, I was a lot like Darby, the main character in the WILD HORSE ISLAND books -- city girl, kinda timid, but I would do ANYTHING to be around horses. And those of you who've heard me talk in person know what I'm talking about...wink.

Q: Has your publisher for WILD HORSE ISLAND decided to have a new cover artist for the new series?

A: Yes
