Look quick, before they're gone

Dear Readers,

Next week, the BLM will round up the last remaining wild burro herds in the Mojave National Preserve.
Even people who care little for burros or other wildlife are surprised that BLM would remove the last of anything.
I've emailed and will call Senator Diane Feinstein about this. As the author of the California Desert Protection Act,she strongly believes wild burros are a part of the heritage of the Mojave Desert - having been present in this area since California's Gold Rush.
I know lots of you are feeling frustrated, sad and hopeless about the constant carelessness toward the lives of wild animals -- especially equines -- and I'm putting together a list of things that you can do to help.
Hugs to you all,
Terri

Awww! Poor burros! They are cute by the way. :) but is is very sad that they will ALL be rounded up.
Hey there Mrs. Farley, (Unless you prefer being called Terri).
You most likely don't remember me, or maybe you do. But, either way, let me remind you who the heck I am. My name is Rebecca, and I met you at the Carson City Library's Octoberfest. Remember that I completely loved your title for Seven Tears Into the Sea, and I really wanted to read it. Well, hopefully that reminded you of who I am. Because I have a favor to ask of you. For my advanced English class at my middle school I need to earn 100 points outside of school. I will earn 50 by reading and doing a book report on a classic book. The other 50 can be earned in a variety of ways. Well, I can earn all 50 of those points by interviewing a published author, and writing a report of that interview in scrip form. Since I was completely fascinated by your book, Seven Tears Into the Sea, I thought that maybe I could interview you for this school project. I'll ask you all the basic questions (Why you became a writer, where you get your inspiration, what's unique about your book, etc.), and probably at Starbucks or something. Problem for you, is that we'll probably be repeating a large portion of our conversation that we had at the Octoberfest. Well, I'm hoping that you check the comments that you get here often, so I can hear your reply as soon as possible. Please Email me saying if you can or can't do the interview at this email address:
[email protected]
If you can, we can figure out details and such later. Thanks for your time, and I hope everything is going good for you. Bye for now.
Rebecca
HI Rebecca -- sounds good...emailing you in a minute! T.
www.howrse.com is sponcering 2 wild burros.
I can't believe they're rounding up ALL the burros. They're so beautiful and cute. It's really frustrating how these people seem to be rounding up everything in sight.
