Wish you'd been there! Or there...
Dear Readers,
Can you believe that anyone would send this beautiful young horse to slaughter because of a leg injury? Jennifer and her family took in Diablo (we talked about the horse in MUSTANG MOON by the same name, but this is a much nicer Diablo), got the vet work done on his leg and then Jen started the long, gentle walking and bonding process.
Now, it's clear that Diablo loves and trusts Jennifer. Patience and kindness have paid off and Jennifer and Diablo WON their event -- in costume -- at the Battle of the Barns.
I had a super time at Clayton bookstore HOLD YOUR HORSES event. We talked about books and horses, watched my WILD ONES movie and made this cool 3-d wild horse mural which lives at the bookstore now.
I have the BEST readers!
