Round-up on fictional Phantom's REAL range

Dear Readers,
Today another wild horse round-up starts on the range near the alico Mountains:

"...460 horses are targeted* for removal from the Buffalo Hills Herd Management Area 80 miles north of Reno..the BLM said Wednesday...Immediate removal of excess animals is necessary because water and forage is extremely limited.

About 190 animals will be left on the range, they said.

Gathered horses will be taken to corrals in Litchfield, Calif., where they will be prepared for adoption or sent to long-term holding facilities.

I don't know if this is necessary or if it has to do with cattle grazing and antelope hunting, or if it's needed. I do know this adds to the horses in long-term holding. BLM has squandered the money meant to feed them.
There are horses in the Fallon, NV. auction yards which the trucker delivering them indicated were mustangs. I'm doing more research on this.
My heart hurts.
Terri

Comments: This is very heart-breaking. I thank God for people like you who try and speak for a world who cannot speak for themselves...the world of horses. Its sad to know and see animals, who are clothed with thunder.. and whisper the sprit of freedom, being held and taken from their land.

  i cant believe them how can they do something like this. it was horses that first brought our kind here and now we turn our backs on them? nuh uh i dont think so. we humans have no right to do this to them. im sorry to say but because of people like them im ashamed to be of the same spiecies. but people like you that try and try again are what is going to make a difference. our voices will be heard one day and they will be heard all across the nation and when people like them hear it they will be ashamed of what they have done to those wounderful magestic creatures. you go terri you go and make the wolrd hear ours and the horses cry for help.

  I think this is so lame! They are taking so many beautiful horses off of the range to make room for housing developments and malls. They shouldn't do that! Imagine how they would feel if the horses came along and took away their homes?! Ugh, it drives me crazy!
  Hi Terri and fellow bloggers;

I do not understand why the establishment insists on rounding up these magnificant wild horses...
I do not buy the lame excuse the wild horses are rounded up to protect them because there is not enough water and natural shrubs for them to eat...
I think they do this just because they are uncreative thinkers...
and they do not have the insight to think of a better plan....
such as Birth Control ?
Any fool can round up Horses...
but only smart thinking and luving and caring people will think of a better plan which is kinder to the Wild horses;

So in conclusion; what the BLM/usda is doing is
wrong; wrong; wrong....and all I can say is:
I hope Madeline Pictens "comes through for our majestic beloved Wild Horses...whiperes of freedom

I have my fingers crossed for Madeline and I also say a few prayers (postivie thoughts) during the day for the wild Horses who are being "rounded up; sad sad sad

If I find any updates on Madeline I will post; thanks Terri; everyone
anna conn usa "helping Horses...
  This is awful. What are they thinking? It makes my heart hurt too.
  i have no words to state my sadness, and fury. Just one little thing that seems to fit: money kills. since BLM doesn't "have enough money" horses die! how wrong is this world??
