  Hi Terri and fellow bloggers;

Wonderful news !

I also undersatnd Lobbying will be halted by Pres. Obama; so maybe the Lobbyist Charles W. Stenholm will not be listened to; hopefully;

Thanks; a.
  Anna,
Actually, the president hasn't outlawed lobbyists, but Stenholm is a perfect example of what he IS ending.
Stenholm was on the Agriculture committee in Congress & voted for slaughter. Now he's making the big bucks as a lobbyist for slaughter houses.
The president:

“We need to close the revolving door that lets lobbyists come into government freely and lets them use their time in public service” to promote their own interests when they leave..."
He also said : when top White House aides leave government, they are barred from lobbying “for as long as I am president"
  YAHOO! Go Obama! He'll, hopefully, save our beatutiful horses! And all the other animals!!!
  Re: Obama and Lobbyists;

Maybe Obama cannot outlaw Lobbyists; but he is atleast limiting former White House workers from Lobbying;

I don't understand Lobbying and I don't think John Q. Public does either; I appreciate OBAMA'S idea; but can he implement his ideas? A.
  PS Concerning Geo. W Bush and not protecting Our Norther Rocky Wolves

One must understand GWB belives in
Cattle Ranching and supports Cattle Ranchers; Cattle Ranchers don't like Wolves; because they think the Wolves attack the Calves;

I think a Wolf would be likely to attact a Desert Rat; or a Field Mouse; or a Possum; not a Calf !

My point being; they "strecth the truth to fit their own agenda...A.

Let's Save our Great Wild Wolves !(becasue they catch Rodents etc.) a.
  YES!!! there's hope that the wild things of the US will be saved, thanks to President Obama!
  cool! good for the wolves!
but i can understand why g.w. bush would do that, since he comes from a ranch and all.
  I don't see Pres. Bush as a rancher, since my definition involves livestock & getting your hands dirty.
Ranchers I know work HARD. Most of the time they're too hot or too cold and one or more body parts ache.
I'm pretty sure the ranch in Crawford has no horses, cattle, sheep or even llamas. I've heard the ranch in Crawford was purchase with money from the sale of his baseball team for tax reasons or to claim the cowboy image. I have no idea if either of those are true, so I'll leave the research to you :)
  I always thought he was born on a ranch and stuff. And, no horses or cattle? I never knew that. Maybe I'll look stuff up about it!
thanks for the info.
  Just to finalize on GWB and why he doesn't like Wolves; and why he ddidn't do a lot to protect the Wild Horses; and other wild critters; the reason is: because many of GWB's friends are ranchers and GWB believes in Cattle Ranching; as a great us commodity;

and Wolves and Wild Horses trample on Cattle Ranchers's Land;

I like Ranchers; believe me; but I don't like Wolves lives being in jeopardy either; because Wolves are an integral faction of Mother Nature's Balance of Critters; sooo

I have read: the No. 1 reason why the Wild Horses are being rounded up is to make "room for Cattle ?

However I don't know if this is true; but if it is true;

this would not be good for Horses;a
  I agree that ranchers should not shoot wolves and try to "exterminate" them from the land. Dogs should be a major process to keep wolves and cyotees away. However Ranchers do need to protect their livestock... and if you eat meat you have them to thank partly!

I don't know much about Mr. Bush's history but I think he did of fairly well job helping to run this country. I hope and pray that livestock will be protected as well as the wolves.
  A comment:

Shooting wolves and coyotes who attack animals is one thing;

but shooting Wolves from an airplane just for the fun of it ?

this is what I mostly refer to when I say protect the wolves;
stop aeriel hunitng of Alaskan wolves Alaska; this is a cruel thing; I agree with what most posters say tho'; save all critters
