Standing on the Shore

I've never visited Brighton, but I've read about it and now I feel like I'm standing on the shore, smelling the salt wind.
I love the photographer's use of light. She transforms these carousel creatures into a band of live, startled horses.
My mother loved carousels and I'm working on two stories about merry-go-round horses, plus, most of you are aware of my fascination with selkies...but I don't think that's why this photograph carried me away.
