Real Cowboys Don't Eat Their Horses

Dear Readers,
Several months ago Congress voted to end funding of horsemeat inspectors.
After that happened, the bill went to the Agriculture committee. Now, some members of the committee may just X out this amendment TO END HORSE SLAUGHTER.
After an overwhelming majority in Congress voted for it, it is stunning to think that the committee would remove it, but that's what's about to happen if certain senators think they can get away with it.
Please let them know today that you are watching!
Check the list below and see if YOUR Congress person is listed. You can tell if s/he is from your state by looking after the Congressman's name. For instance, R-TX means a Republican from Texas. D-CA means a Democrat from California, etc.
If you want to end horse slaughter in America, please call and ask them not to remove the amendment.
A YES vote means that they voted in favor of ending horse slaughter If they voted NO, it means they wanted the slaughter houses to keep processing horses as human food.
Either way, they need to know how YOU and your voting parents feel!
What if your senator isn't on this list? Call anyway. The horses are an international treasure and you have a right to stand up for them!
The President's home state of Texas has one of the slaughter houses and he has approved legislation supporting it. Feel free to tell him what you think.
Thanking you for the horses,
Terri
